There is no silver lining this, or tying any bows. It has been a living hell trapped in a tortured body. However, this was my process of acknowledging both the awful & the undeniable love that crept in, even in the darkest places. It’s been vital to see the hope and love my loved ones, strangers, medical providers, nurses, all who held hope and love for me in the worst of it. I wouldn’t be here today without it. Grateful.

My beloved radiologist, said to me “There is hope, absolutely there is hope.” I clung to his words tight, when doors kept closing and suffering was immense. It seemed fitting to change the title of this one from “glimmers” to the words I held tight, “There is hope, absolutely there is hope.”
