This painting is 7” x 7” acrylic on high quality Yupo paper. This painting is blue and white with prisms peeking through. Inspired by Artemis II journey and the random prism that landed on this painting while creating it.
This painting does not come with a frame the listing is for the art only, without a frame or mat.
This painting will fit in any standard size 8” x 8” and float on top with an inch to spare. This would also look great in a 12” x 12” frame floating on top with 5 inches of white around the art, depending on the look you’re going for. You can size up even to an even larger frame if you’d like. A mat is optional, I usually don’t use mats, however if you want to find a mat, make sure the opening of the mat is 7” x 7” or very close to it.
Instead of using a mat, I simply place the original art onto a white background and tape the back of the art onto the white paper and it “floats.”
Framing Suggestions: I would recommend the "LOMVIKEN" frame from IKEA in black 12.5" x 12.5" here is the link if you want to take a peek. The mat opening that comes with the frame is 7 and 3/4" x 7 and 3/4" so it will be slighty bigger than the artwork. I prefer it without using the mat, and have a white sheet of paper behind the art and tape the art in place in the center on top of the white sheet of paper. I like to use canson multimedia bright white paper that you'll need to cut to size to fit into the frame. Or you can always get a custom mat made to fit the frame.
